Sunday School is the time and place for Bible Study and for involving people in the life of the church. The best way for someone to become part of our church family is to join a Sunday School class. We offer Sunday School classes for every age group. Classes for children, youth, college students, singles, Co-Eds, men and women classes, seniors, as well as an auditorium class are provided. Our Sunday School begins at 9:30 am.
The Music Ministry of Rose Park Baptist Church focuses on four goals:
To PRAISE our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
To PROCLAIM the Word of God through song for the building up of the church and leading the lost toward the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
To PLANT eternal truths in the lives of our people
To PROVIDE our members with an opportunity to use their talents and abilities for His service
Here at Rose Park Baptist Church, we incorporate both hymns and praise choruses in our services. We believe it is important to offer worship music that appeals to people of all ages.
5:00 - 6:15 pm on Sundays
The Student Ministry at Rose Park Baptist Church seeks to create an atmosphere where youth can grow in Christ, and develop friendships with other Christian young people. The goal each week is to provide a message that relates to youth personally and challenges them to live passionately for Christ.
Our Wednesday night activities begin at 6:30 and include games, praise and worship, and Bible study.
Other youth activities include: an annual summer camp, weekly fellowships, special trips, lock-in's, and mission projects.
Our Preschool and Chilren's Ministries seek to provide a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment from bed babies through 5th grade. We partner with parents to build strong spiritual foundations. Our Nursery Ministry is available for bed babies up to the age of three during Sunday School, all worship services, and some special events. Our Children's Church offers a fun, age-appropriate worship service for ages 3 through 7 during the Sunday morning worship service. Family fun activities are planned each month thoughout the year. Yearly highlights are Vacation Bible School, Children's Summer Camp, and Fall Festival.
Kids lives are forever transformed. Volunteers grow as leaders. Families become stronger and churches build community through active involvement in Awana. Our world needs the hope that only Christ gives. God is using Awana to raise up kids, parents and leaders devoted to knowing Scripture, loving Him and reaching others with the gospel.
Those who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Church leaders and parents have witnessed the profound impact Awana has had in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples. That’s why so many have returned year after year, week after week, for more than three generations.
The Senior Adult Ministry here at Rose Park is called "Young At Heart". This group includes men and women who are 50 years and up. They hold fellowships the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:00am. Besides the monthly meetings, there are special trips, Associational events, and guest speakers.
The women's ministry is called Rose Park Ladies. Our ladies meet on the first Monday of every month. There is something for everyone in these meetings; cooking shows, guest speakers, craft shows, ministry/mission opportunities, etc. There is a retreat each year and wonderful fellowships all through the year.
The goal of the Outreach Ministry of Rose Park Baptist Church is to reach people for Christ, disciple new Christians, and mature believers in their faith. There are four (4) teams our members can be involved in:
1. Visiting Prospects
2. Quarterly Blitz Teams
3. Homebound/Nursing Home
4. Door-to-door Visiting
Members can sign-up throughout the year to participate in this ministry. Please contact Bro. Donnie Vercher, Outreach Minister if you would like to be a member of one of these teams.
